WANDERERS, SILVER MATCH DECISIVE GAME TO BE PLAYED IN THE MORNING

BY BANTHU TIMES REPORTER 18/02/2014
The 2013-2014 TNM Super League final decider encounter between Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers will be played in the morning from 10:00am from the previously scheduled l2:30.

The Super League of Malawi has confirmed the shift of the time but have not elaborated on the reason for the change.
The game which is scheduled to take place at the Kamuzu Stadium on Wednesday will be played without supporters apart from journalists and a few club officials.

Meanwhile, both clubs have been speaking on the make or break encounter which is expected to produce fireworks.
Any victory or draw by the Bankers will see them crowned the 2013 Champions while a defeat means Moyale Barracks will become the title kings.

The Bankers, who stormed Blantyre on Friday to take part in the Zambezi Challenge Cup have been training at the Kamuzu Stadium to keep themselves in shape.

The Bankers’ coach, Stain Chirwa said they were ready to take the Cup back to area 47 because it belongs there.

“I can assure our fans, especially in Lilongwe that we will take the cup back to Lilongwe. We are in Blantyre not as tourists but men at work. We are aware that Wanderers will come flat-out since it is their home ground, but we will not surrender until the last whistle,” said Chirwa.

Chirwa is banking all his hopes on left midfielder Ndaziona Chatsalira to keep the engine boiling for Chawanangwa Kawonga to kiss the back of the Nomads net.Silver-Strikers

In defence, Lucky Malata is likely to lead his charges while Charles Swini will man the posts jealously.

However, Mighty Wanderers coach, Stewart Mbolembole stressed that their 1-0 defeat in the hands of Caps United on Saturday in the Zambezi Challenge Cup has helped them to rectify problems which they encountered.

“We lost to Caps United in the Zambezi Cup, and we do not want any defeat in a roll. The only way we can please our supporters is by beating Silver Strikers so that we finish the League in top four,” said Mbolembole.

Mbolembole is likely to have confidence on Richard Chipuwa to protect the Nomads goals, while Bongani Kaipa will lead the back line.
Nomads
On the midfield, the Nomads have Timothy Chitedze to rely on while Innocent Dzimbiri will be left with the mantle to score goals.
